The Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver invites applications for Music Director of Lamont Opera Theatre. This position is a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start in Fall 2019. The successful candidate will prepare main-stage opera productions annually, prepare and/or conduct smaller programs such as opera scenes, coach and/or play rehearsals, mentor undergraduate and graduate voice students as assigned, assist in planning of appropriate repertoire for each season, and teach in other areas of expertise related to the position, based on an individual’s qualifications. The candidate will work collaboratively with faculty colleagues and actively engage in recruitment and outreach activities. Other duties include serving on audition committees for incoming students, recital boards and oral committees for MM students, and School of Music and University committees. The candidate will maintain an active national/ international performance calendar.

- The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse populations.
Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred.
