TheDepartment of Anesthesiology is looking for several positions due to growth.The Department of Anesthesiology has an opening for a full-time CertifiedRegistered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA).The chief responsibility of the department is to assure the best possibleoutcomes for our patients having surgical operations, painful invasiveprocedures, and childbirth.

 

TheUniversity of Colorado affiliated hospitals have top nationally-recognizedphysicians delivering the best possible anesthetic care as well as a full rangeof perioperative care.

 

JobResponsibilities: 

The CRNA/CAA administers care under the medical direction ofan attending Anesthesiologist. Anesthetists are expected to documentpre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care appropriate to the caseand to cooperate with the requirements of the department's quality assurancereview process. The position is full-time and will be assigned to work at anyof the UCD affiliated hospitals to include University of Colorado Hospital andaffiliates.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Successfulcompletion of an accredited nurse anesthetist or anesthesiologist assistant educationalprogram. Active certification by the council on accreditation of the AmericanAssociation of Nurse Anesthetists or American Association of Anesthesiologist Assistantswith ongoing re-certification as required (currently every two years).  

Successfulapplication for the advanced practice registry and licensed as a registerednurse by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
