The IT Analyst Specialist 4 position designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. The IT Analyst Specialist 4 position determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Provides technical guidance for system administrators, database administrators and software developers. Resolves complex technical problems.

ULA Job Description:
Provide technical support to defined end user groups. Work with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. Study and analyze system needs, system development, system process analysis, design and re-engineering. Troubleshoot, install, and update information technology resources. Implement new procedures and techniques.

External Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study from an accredited college.
  • 6-10 years of related professional experience
  • Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
    o IT Operations management
    o Server Administration, emphasis required in Windows technology
    o Networking
    o Information  Security
    o Storage Management
    o Project Management
    o Matrix Team Leadership
    o Software Development
  • Experience preparing, validating, and presenting design artifacts detailing proposed design architectures, external system interfaces, project schedules, test plans, and migration/transition plans.
  • Demonstrated experience with large enterprises and enterprise architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop architecture and strategies that address the interdependencies between infrastructure, platform, and application capabilities across a heterogeneous environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license


External Preferred Qualifications
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Team player, willing to share knowledge/information with team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
  • Ability to follow a methodical development and implementation process.
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth architectural understanding of Active Directory and associated services such as authentication, federation services, group policy management.
  • Demonstrated experience with design, plan, implementation and operations of
    o Office 365
    o Azure AD
    o Hybrid Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience with
    o automation and software defined infrastructure
    o knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
    o server and storage virtualization (e.g. VMware, HyperV, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop,, etc.)
    o enterprise-class storage deployment and operation (e.g. NetApp, EMC, HP, etc.)
    o  enterprise-class backup products (e.g. EMC Networker, DataProtector)
    o  enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco, Palo Alto, Bluecoat) and horizontal integration across core enterprise services.
    o deploying and managing High Performance Compute Capabilities
    o mentoring and developing architectural and IT talent.
    o knowledge of information assurance processes, frameworks, and architectures.
    o knowledge of information security, identity and access management, authentication services, network infrastructure and end point security.    Experience with tools such as McAfee, Tenable, ….
    o knowledge and understanding of DOD security regulations (e.g. CNSSI, NIST, etc.)
    o ServiceNow suite for incident, problem, and change management
    o working in the A&D industry
  • Microsoft Certification
  • ITIL Certification
