Part Time Park Keeper

- Job Summary
Responsible for performing various maintenance tasks which are associated with shelter, restroom, and general park clean up at Maintenance District 5. This is a variable hour position and may work an average of 28 hours per week; day, weekend and/or holiday hours may be required. Weekly work hours may vary. Days off are Wed. and Thurs. Must be able to start by 6:00AM.
- Job Requirements
Education: Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous parks maintenance experience is preferred but not necessary. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have knowledge of basic cleaning tools including the ability to operate including exercising accepted safety precautions while performing assigned duties. Willing and able to learn and then perform specific maintenance tasks in an efficient manner. Must possess an ability to establish and maintain desirable working relationships with other District employees and the general public. Must possess a good work ethic and be reliable. Must work weekends with Weds. and Thurs. being days off. Must have a current driver license and maintain an acceptable driving record with less than 8 points in the most recent 3-year period and having no major driving violations in the most recent 4-year period. A personal vehicle is required for commuting to park locations. Mileage will be reimbursed at the Federal rate at the time per mile. The ability to successfully complete a background check including but not limited to criminal history search is required.
