Integration Developer

Job Description
Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting the extraction, transformation, and transfer of messages between systems. Applications are connected using IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/IBM Message Broker with MQ, Data Power, API Connect in a high availability environment. This person must deliver a high level of internal customer service to facilitate development of non-technical, as well as technical, business requirements. The Integration Developer will rapidly solve Vistar application integration challenges with quality by applying expertise, creativity, and detail orientation. They function as a team member within the department and organization as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate closely with product owners & business teams to examine sources of data
     
  • Identify business & technical integration requirements to enable data flow between disparate applications across multiple hardware and software platforms
     
  • Create process & workflow designs
     
  • Conduct in-depth system & data analysis to facilitate the detailed designing, development, modification, and testing of complex API and Messaging-based integration solutions
     
  • Create quality integration solutions that are extensible, reusable, and adhere to industry best practices
     
  • Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions
     
  • Create technical artifacts as required
     
  • Provide level-of-effort estimates as requested
     
  • Utilize coding message flows and technologies that enable messaging for development
     
  • Installation and configuration of WMQ/IIB on Windows
     
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues with IIB and MQ in Integration Layer
     
  • Testing interfacing using tools like RFHUTIL, SOAPUI, built in IIB testing, and other tools
     
  • Integration of databases using ESQL, Java, SAP Node, and Database Nodes
     
  • Create SOAP and Restful web services
     
  • Create functional and technical designs of integration components
     
  • Perform code review and ensure coding standards are being met
     
  • Mentor team as needed and help with day-to-day technical activities within Integration area
     
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in all of the following:

- IIB v 9.0/10.0 in development of Message Flows, Message Sets
- DFDL, ESQL, SOAP & REST Web Service
- Technologies that enable messaging, including XML, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, HTTP, and SSL
- Coding message flows using ESQL and Java
Installing and configuring WMQ/IIB in Windows environments
- Experience creating MQ objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, etc.
- Troubleshooting and resolving critical issues with IIB and MQ in Integration layer
- Tools like RGHUTIL, SOAPUI, built in IIB testing, and other tools
