Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking an Enterprise Software Lead (ESL) for the Rushmore program that performs complex 24x7 global operations and maintenance. This position is a hybrid role, consisting of direct support to the program and people management.  In this role, the selected candidate will lead the transformation from three operational locations using site-unique processes and tools toward a common enterprise approach. Fundamental to this transformation is a drive toward standard processes and procedures, a centralized tools repository, and consolidation of the current highly proliferated inventory of Category 3 tools.
The preferred location for this position is Aurora, Colorado. Working remotely from another appropriately classified Northrop Grumman location (Redondo Beach, CA or Harrogate, UK) may be considered at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Specifically, the selected Manager will:
  • Lead a team of software engineers who develop and maintain system operations maintenance support products (Category 3 software, tools and web products hosted offline from the operational baseline) as well as surging personnel to support three geographically disperse operational sites with periodic Category 1 installs
  • Co-chair the Enterprise Engineering Review Board
  • Implement software related best practices (CM, CAT 3 development standards, test procedure rigor, etc.)
  • Champion customer defined Efficiency Initiatives and team identified opportunities
  • Research, recommend and implement technology advancements to perpetually improve cross site communication and coordination.
The ideal candidate has experience developing and maintaining strong customer interfaces, inspiring, motivating and implementing change, managed remote team members, collaborated with peers/peer organizations and subordinates, and is influential in verbal and written communication. Where efficiencies are only possible with technology enablers, the manager should employ the right experts to identify viable and cost beneficial solutions.
This position requires domestic and international travel.
