Come and be part of our team in the dynamic world of Lockheed Martin Space. In this role, you will perform as a member of the Production Planning & Control team within the Structures, Mechanisms/Materials, Propulsion Test (SMPT) organization. You will collaborate with manufacturing and test technicians, supervision, engineering, procurement, and shop leadership supporting production to ensure a steady flow of hardware through the assembly and test process.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• You will drive, track and manage all work in process for the entire Engineering Propulsion Lab to ensure on-time delivery of commitments
• You will work hand in hand with the Design, Manufacturing and Test Supervision to ensure all jobs are being worked in the correct priority and to resolve any issues impacting work progress
• You will work closely with the Rapid Procurement team to ensure purchased material is expedited to support operations
• You will approve and release Material Requests and Procurement Requests to ensure all applicable regulations and requirements are being followed
• You will focus on driving resolution of all hardware on hold or at a stop with the appropriate supporting organizations (MRP, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Design Engineering and Program)
• You will demonstrate a clear understanding of work in process and be able to clearly and effectively communicate status, issues and path forward plans to multiple levels of the organization (SMPT Leadership, ALTO Director, ATLO VP)
• You will perform look ahead analysis to proactively manage potential upcoming conflicts and obstacles in order to minimize any impact to hardware delivery
• You will identify process improvements that will prove to reduce production cost and improve schedule performance
• You will have the opportunity to learn the technical aspects of the hardware we build as well as gain a solid understanding of both manufacturing and test process flows. This experience and knowledge will help you continue to build and develop your career foundation and has the potential to open the door into a production operations leadership role in the future.

Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) theory and practices.
• Supply Chain Management experience (including at least one of the following: Production Planning & Control, Inventory Management, Manufacturing/Production Operations, Procurement or Logistics).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Desired skills
• Experience using and detailed knowledge of SAP
• Experience with rapid procurement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
• Demonstrated experience communicating/briefing executives, leaders, and customers
