What does this role look like?
• In this position you'll be working to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical and propulsion components, assemblies and systems for Lockheed Martin Space products.
• This role will include participating in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure.
• As an engineer, you'll develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities.

Basic Qualifications
• Actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or similarly related program from an accredited college/university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain security clearance

Desired skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment
• Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Knowledge of mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as CREO, Nastran, Thermal Desktop
• Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials
• Desire to work with propulsion, structures, mechanisms, thermal, analysis and all things Lockheed Martin Space!
