General Air Service & Supply is looking for a Human Resource Administrator who wants to jump in head-first and facilitate the company needs for Human Resources. Position Description:

We're looking for a dynamic, high performing person with experience in Human Resource practices. The ideal candidate has experience with recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee and corporate benefits administration, employee training and development, employee relations, compliance initiatives and regulations, coordinating events, and company-wide safety initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Communicate and cultivate the Core Values of General Air Service and Supply internally and externally;
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance;
  • Support executing all aspects of the company's recruiting and onboarding processes working with hiring managers to update job descriptions, post positions, interview candidates, and fill positions;
  • Supporting planning and conducting new employee orientation;
  • Keeps accurate records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations;
  • Administers benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401K plan, vacation, discretionary, FMLA, and employee assistance;
  • Handle all insurance related claims and id cards;
  • File Vets 100 and EEO1 reports annually;
  • Ensure AAP compliance;
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation;
  • Ensure company is compliant with all applicable state law, federal law, and HR related legislation, such as employment, benefits, and safety (ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA, EEO, OSCH, etc.);
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Manages unemployment claims; COBRA requests and Worker's Compensation claims, and others as required;
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs;
  • Maintain all DOT driver qualification files, ensuring compliance of state and/or federal regulations;
  • Helps coordinate company events and celebrations;
  • Assists in recording Journal entries for month end;
  • Administer vendor and customer insurance certificates;
  • Support developing and administering training opportunities for internal employees providing the desired career pathing;
  • Provide assistance to employees and managers with personnel or policy related questions;
  • Assist managers and employees with conflict resolution and performance improvement plans if needed;
  • Develop new and/or update existing HR policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook as needed;
  • Send flowers and/or memorials in accordance with company policy;
  • Handle routine administrative duties and communication for various business issues and projects;
  • Support managing and updating SDS mailings, Hazard ID tracking and updating, manifest compliance, and other various safety administration duties;
  • Perform a variety of special projects as assigned by supervisor

What You Bring to the Team:

  • High School diploma. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field is required. PHR or SPHR Certification is a plus;
  • Minimum of 5+ years HR experience in fast paced and growing environment;
  • Strong problem solving, time management, and organization skills;
  • Superior people skills;
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software;
  • Occasional lifting of 20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 50lbs.
  • Travel as necessary to various company locations, customer sites, training and seminars.
  • Ability to work in moderately warm or cold conditions where high noise levels are possible.
