Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Participates in all areas of the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, implementation, support and enhancement. Contributes to functionality and process design for clinical systems and helps to coordinate delivery of training for project. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and write software technical specifications, software code, perform unit testing, and support business solutions of varying degrees throughout the project life cycle, including creating design documents, tracking and resolving issues and updating design documentation in compliance with department policies.
  • Develop a rules-based processing and alerting system triggered by data streams and real time events. Maintain and enhance the existing code base.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software problems, investigate potential causes and implements solutions. Prepare programming specifications, analyzes code, test and debug programs and applications systems.
  • Provide technical leadership in solving complex programming tasks.
  • Translate business requirements into logical and physical architecture. Communicate system needs and project direction based on business unit requirements and overall business needs.
  • Support and confer with business analysts and other technical teams to determine the best technical solution to meet requirements.
  • Document all operational, system, and support requirements to ensure adherence to corporate standards.
  • Provide assistance to other staff with complex tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Mentor other staff as applicable.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
  • The candidate should be experienced in leading the team of 5 – 8 resources with strong technical skills. The application the resource would help lead both Web and Mobile applications.
  • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Identify the areas for improvement in the current application and propose the solutions
  • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and team members to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile-based business applications built on Microsoft and Mobile technologies.
  • Design, Develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
  • Package and support deployment of releases.
  • Support the application in addressing the production issues in a timely manner.
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
  • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 



Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 8 – 12 years' related experience.
  • 8 – 12 years' related experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Microsoft technologies
  • 5 year of experience as a tech lead
  • In depth understanding of the .NET technologies
  • Strong Database skills with SQL Server 2008 and above is a must
  • Strong Javascript /CSS AJAX skills
  • Good understanding of cross-mobile-OS frameworks (Sencha preferred, JQuery alternative)
  • Mobile (frameworks, Android) experience is a plus
  • Experience (Design, implementation and consumption) in building the Restful services is a must
  • Good understanding and implementation experience with design patterns
  • Deadline focused, detail oriented, team player, well organized and self-motivated
  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum
  • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
  • Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and individually
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor technical professionals.
