Responsibilities** 

The Security Sales Engineer works on customer sites in a variety of environments including new construction, remodels, and operating facilities. A sales Engineer are also responsible for complying with Encore standards for Safety, Customer Service, and should be proficient in the following areas: 

  • Will work independently or as part of a team, able and willing to take direction and execute those directives effectively and efficiently. 
  • Understand and follow safety guidelines, if working with others, ensuring they are also working in a safe manner. 
  • Read and understand basic scopes of work. 
  • Willing to listen, learn and perform effectively on specific installation tasks. 
  • Possess a basic understanding of industry relative tools. 
  • Pursue sales of service and end user work
  • Pursue service agreements
  • Estimate small projects
  • Project Manage small projects
  • Work with the engineering staff to design technology solutions projects

 

 

**Knowledge and Skills** 

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed as a Sales Engineer:

  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base.
  • Partner with sales team to plan, prepare and execute on strategic to get new projects.
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Successfully match customer requirements to proposed solutions.
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the proposition.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses.
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Understanding how A/V control systems operate.
  • Ability to design A/V systems in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of vendors and projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Understands sales process in the construction industry Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills

Required tools/equipment- if necessary

  • Must be able to deploy in support of projects/company needs.

**Core Requirements** 

  • Have a current and valid Driver’s License. 
  • Have and maintain a professional image.  
  • Deliver top quality workmanship on a daily basis. 
  • Should take pride in ownership of their job duties as assigned. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
