Developmental Pathways has a great opportunity for a versatile and flexible Community Outreach Specialist to provide professional level administrative and project management support to the Community Outreach department. You'll get to develop and maintain systems of organization, distribution and communication; coordinate and attend meetings and events, while representing Developmental Pathways in various community activities; and assist with our donation program. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are preferred! 

Our Community Outreach Specialist will be based out of our Inverness office located in just south of the Denver Tech Center in Englewood, CO. This position is typically Monday - Thursday, however does require a very flexible schedule, as needed for community events. This position is full-time at 36 hrs/week.

  • Assist with the donation program including donation phone line and agency food drive
  • Gather ‘Most in Need’ (MIN) information from families, calculate MIN scores and communicate MIN information to families, coordinators and other pertinent staff
  • Serve as contact for families seeking partnership vouchers and information
  • Create and maintain tracking systems; create reports to monitor enrollment; enter data into CCMS (Community Contract Management System)
  • Perform all activities necessary to assure preparation for and follow up from varying committee meetings
  • Design, produce, update, organize and ensure availability of forms
  • Develop and maintain databases related to all aspects of department service
  • Prepare and assure distribution of various form letters
  • Schedule meetings and notify all individuals involved
  • Prepare for and set up community events, presentations, trainings, etc.
  • Create calendars for meetings and events; record and distribute meeting minutes
  • Assure the timely flow of all required paperwork to and from department staff
  • Assure distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
  • Order and maintains supplies
  • Maintain contact lists and revises as needed

Must have’s to be our Community Outreach Specialist!
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent education and experience, preferred
  • Five years (5) experience working in administrative support, preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to effectively read, write and speak Spanish and English; preferred 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends as needed, required
  • Experience in human services field, preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to compose proper business documents necessary to carry out job assignments
  • High degree of accuracy with time sensitive, detailed information
  • Meet our driving requirements; no suspensions/revocations and less than 3 tickets in the past 3 years
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Colorado driver's license/proof of auto insurance
