Description
Developmental Pathways’ Community Outreach Department is seeking a Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) Project Manager. Our Project Manager will work directly with our internal and external contacts to ensure the coordination and completion of CEI projects.
 
The Community Engagement Initiative will reach into the community for partnerships and education to address internal and external system changes that will positively impact the I/DD community. The CEI will include work on education, employment, housing exploration, parent advocates, transition and transportation. The work and outcomes will fall into three categories, policy, education and resource clearinghouse. For comprehensive planning purposes, each of these categories will be looked at through separate lenses of individuals/families, I/DD systems, and community.
 
We're located in the Denver, CO Metro area - our two offices are located just south of the Denver Tech Center in Englewood, CO, and in Aurora, CO. This position will be located at our Inverness office; full-time at 36 hours/week, Monday thru Thursday.

  • Assist in the development of relationships with outside agencies in order to create new opportunities and resources
  • Communicate effectively with community groups, staff, individuals and families about CEI activities
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis 
  • Track project performance and create reports to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives; involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project
  • Directs the activities of the CEI team members; provide clear objectives and support
  • Lead Developmental Pathways staff and community partners through specific requirements of CEI project
  • Evaluate performance of supervised staff; implements regular performance evaluations and reviews

Qualifications
Must have’s to be our CEI Project Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management or human services-related field or equivalent education and experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year of project management including supervisory experience, required
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in human services, preferably in an area directly related to intellectual disabilities
  • Able to work flexible hours which may include occasional evenings and weekends
  • Able to meet with and publicly speak in front of individuals, families and/or community providers/funding sources
  • Working knowledge of developmental disability system rules and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; effectively communicates with individuals served, families, staff and others
  • Personal Vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license
  • Proof of adequate motor vehicle insurance
  • Meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
