CR architecture + design is seeking an ambitious and eager Project Lead with a desire to further develop their project and people leadership skills while delivering successful Retail and Hospitality projects. We're always looking to hire and develop future leaders and joining us a Project Lead is your first step towards a rewarding path along our management track.
Gaining exposure and knowledge of the many aspects of project management is essential to learning how to manage projects, people and client expectations successfully. You'll participate and assist the Project Manager with completing basic project management tasks like: project budgeting, scheduling, creating and updating project plans, kick off meetings, managing deliverables, design development, construction documentation, bidding, permitting, construction administration, site visits, code research, and quality control, just to name a few. Attending site surveys and coordinating with clients and consultant teams is a big part of your role as well.
What Does It Take To Be Successful?
- Producing and providing oversight of construction documents using AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- Juggling multiple projects often with short timelines
- Anticipating problems before they arise and resolving complex technical and design issues creatively
- Effectively communicate within a project team including taking direction and giving direction
- Mentoring junior staff and leading by example
- Identifying ways to innovate and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our processes

Skills & Experience
If you can accomplish the above, you've got what it takes. Realistically, you need to have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution along with some experience in a similar Project Lead, Job Captain or Project Management role in the Architecture industry. You most likely you started your career in production, gained a strong technical competency and then chose the path of managing projects and teams. You're a team player who has experience producing construction documents in AutoCAD and/or REVIT and can still jump in on projects and help with drawings or modeling if needed. Project experience with Retail Multi-Unit Programs and/or Hospitality is required. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
