Manufacturing Team Lead
Manufacturing Operations: Primary PRD (Whole Blood), Secondary PRD (Cryoprecipitate Harvest, Leukoreduction, and ABO Labeling), Apheresis PRD (Plasma, RBC), Centralized Receipt (Incoming Sample / Product Receipt, WB Qualification, Empties / Returns, Box Prep), and Blood Product Distribution (In-State / Out-of-State, Imports, Transfers, Salvage). This position will also participate in the inventory management process and all applicable competency and continuing education programs. This position also serves as role model for company values and culture and as internal technical consultant and mentor new employees Participates in continuing education and competency programs and complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. Position Responsibilities: 1. Maintains product production, inventory, and distribution. 2. Performs duties in compliance with departmental policies and procedures. 3. Provides support to the Central Receipt Department of Manufacturing and Equipment Management Departments. 4. Prepares and maintains operating procedures, equipment, and work area(s). 5. Assist Supervisor with designated aspects of site supervising and assist mentoring. 6. Under management direction, responsible for training staff to competently perform duties according to OP and assessing competency. 7. Under management direction, responsible for providing individual training sessions for staff, as directed. 8. Under management direction, responsible for monitoring the effectiveness and compliance of training and competence assessment programs and continuous improvement. Skills / Requirements
This position is Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 11:30 pm wth rotating weekends and holidays. The hourly pay rate is $13.75 to $16.34 dependent upon experience. Full time with full benefits.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing or related industry is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have an understanding of how to work with and review operating procedures Previous knowledge of working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred Basic knowledge of computers and some programs (i.e. keyboarding, Word, Excel, Outlook) Manual Dexterity Strong oral and written communications skills Strong organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and quality Some technical writing skills Ability to see the full color spectrum Ability to work in temperature extreme environments Ability to follow and adhere to operating procedures Materials and Equipment Directly Used: Manufacturing Laboratory Equipment (i.e. Centrifuges, Balances, Sterile Connecting Devices, Computer Terminals, Water Baths, Expressers, etc.) Refrigerator Freezer Rotators General Office Equipment Work Environment and Physical Activities: Extended periods of standing Moderate levels of visual strain Moderate periods of time in temperature extreme environments Moderate levels of lifting of up to 50 pounds Flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays and other shifts This job posting is no longer available on Jobing.com.
