Jobing Description
The Installation Manager will head the order fulfillment process for the Retail Replacement Sales Segment. This position will be responsible for the Order Verification Process including order entry and accuracy, hiring and training on all processes for both internal and sub-contracted installation personnel, developing and implementing efficiency objectives and evaluation criteria for all Fulfillment Team Members. A key component of success will be the clean installation performance of the team that results in high satisfaction from our homeowner customers.

Compensation
This exempt level position pays between $45-52k/year; commensurate with education and experience. Evening and Saturday shifts may be required. The position includes full company benefits.


Skills / Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the implementation and fulfillment of the Order Verification Process in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of department personnel including sub-contractor installers.
  • Develop an orientation program for installer’s that will include Installation Professional Protocol and Pella Installation Instructions.
  • Monitor the order entry function to ensure proper manning, training & performance.
  • Develop and implement on-going and scheduled Installer Training for both internal and sub-contractor installers.
  • Makes strategic decisions, in conjunction with the Installation Manager and Operations Manager, regarding staffing for the installation team.
  • Continuous employee coaching and process improvement to ensure maximization of installation schedules.
  • Establish and communicate departmental processes and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws in regards to staff safety and building code requirements.
  • Provides quality control through job-site inspections.
  • Monitor job costing, cost controls, and profitability for Retail installations.
  • Ensure product installation is carried out in accordance with Pella standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises day to day performance of both internal and contracted Installation Crews
  • Engages in all interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, progressive discipline, and termination decisions of the Installation Crews
  • Addressing complaints and problem resolution
  • Track and repot on performance metrics.
  • Provide ongoing performance management for all members of the Installation Crews

    Qualifications
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Education and/or Experience
    3-5 years experience in carpentry and/or construction including installation of window and door products. 1-2 years construction management preferred. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred; one or two years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
