Director of Nursing
This position is responsible for the organization, implementation and follow up of all aspects of Quality Living Options nursing care to ensure the health and physical welfare of all consumers. The Director of Nursing provides clinical consultation and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses. Work closely with QLO Directors to ensure compliance with nursing regulations and assists with the administrative supervision of the Licensed Professional Nurses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
KNOWLEDGE -
a) to understand and operate within a team environment
b) of long term care system rules and regulations.
c) of supervisory, management and clinical consultation skills

SKILL -
a) to set priorities and meet deadlines
b) to function interdependently between consumers, co-workers, departments, and the community
c) strong organizational skills
d) attention to detail

ABILITY -
a) to meet and maintain organization driving requirements
b) to operate a personal computer and software as provided by the agency
c) to obtain current CPR certification

2. EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
a) Graduate of an accredited nursing school, licensed to practice in the State of Colorado as a BSN/RN.
b) Must complete organization orientation requirements.
c) Maintain and increase knowledge of developmental disabilities

EXPERIENCE
a) Minimum 3 years nursing experience
b) 5 years staff supervision experience
c) One year of Nursing experience with Developmental Disabilities preferred
