Colorado Acute Long Term Hospital is a 63-bed hospital providing high acuity care for patients requiring intensive medical, nursing, respiratory and therapy services. We focus on meeting the needs of all our partners in care, including the physician, the patient and the patient's family. We offer our Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) the opportunity to spend quality time with patients and enjoy enhanced satisfaction from watching patients advance from critically ill/injured status back towards baseline function. We currently have needs for part time OTs Join our fun and experienced rehab team! As our newest Occupational Therapist or COTA, you will use purposeful, goal-oriented activity in assessing, evaluating, and/or treating persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability, or the aging process, to achieve optimum functioning, to prevent disability, and to maintain health. OTRs and COTAs will assess patients progress during and following treatment. Therapists and Assistants will interact with members of this department, as well as other hospital departments to provide for essential department operational tasks, including patient treatment and continuing education, infection control, and quality assurance. OTRs and COTAs will maintain communication through documentation and verbal consultation with nursing staff and physicians to provide optimal patient care. Skills / Requirements
Inpatient hospital experience with geriatric population required.
COTA candidates must posses an Associates degree and/or certification from an accredited COTA program. BLS or CPR certification also required. OTR candidates must be currently licensed in Colorado and must have a minimum of 5 years of experience. BLS or CPR certification also required. Important Notes
