Job: Technical Copywriter/Editor

Functions:

Working in support of Intermap Technologies Marketing Communications team, the Technical Copywriter/Editor is responsible for collecting information and for writing, editing and proof reading content for a wide variety of technical documentation, including Web content, brochures, direct marketing campaigns and white papers. The position supports the production of all materials for all of the Company's business units including; Direct Sales, Contract Services, Partner Channels, Data Products, Automotive and Risk Management teams, in addition to general public relations and media activity.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities Include:

Write, proofread and edit copy for technical white papers, position papers, case studies, user documents, direct marketing campaigns, product guides, online demos and other technical documentation;

Work multiple copywriting project simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;

Proactively engage product experts to solicit input and to verify accuracy of all documentation;

Other copywriting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in technical writing, journalism or English;

Entry level technical copywriting and editing skills;

Knowledge of MS Office, including Work and Excel - familiarity with Adobe InDesign preferred;

Strong interview skills and an outstanding attention to detail;

Excellent time management and organizational skills;

Must be a team player;

1-2 years experience required - GIS/Geospatial background a definite asset.
