Job: Software Engineer (Orbital Dynamics System) - DENVER, CO

Rincon Research Corporation is seeking a self-starter to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. Under general supervision, this individual will act as the lead software developer for the full life-cycle development of a Windows-based orbital dynamics system, including design, application development, testing, releasing, installation, and maintenance of software. The candidate must be able to work with .NET, web-based user interface design, database development, and core dynamics algorithms. The ability to adapt solutions from one environment to another, addressing new capabilities and system integration problems, is required. The right candidate will be expected to demonstrate disciplined work habits leading to products that are well-structured, documented, and carefully tested. This position will allow for direct interaction with end users and customers.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with an engineering/math focus or other equivalent field of discipline

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET programming, web-based development, and XML

Experience with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL server preferred)

Strong scientific programming, math, and analytical skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US citizenship required)

Desired:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with engineering/math focus or other equivalent field of discipline

5+ years of experience in practical system development and deployment

Experience with STK and/or ODTK integration

Experience with Microsoft Silverlight

Experience in software configuration management (Subversion experience preferred)

Experience with SOA, virtualization, cloud, and/or grid technologies
