Job: Hair Stylist for Adult Day Center

Total Longterm Care is a non-profit PACE program that provides managed health care and supportive services designed to assist seniors who want an alternative to nursing home placement. With Total Longterm Care's assistance, participants can stay in their own homes and communities. The mission of Total Longterm Care is to enable frail individuals to live with dignity in their communities.

We are currently seeking a Hair Stylist to join our outstanding team! The position is for 1 day per week, every week. The Contract will be 6 months to 1 year.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Hair Stylist performs professional cuts, styles, chemical services and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments. They must possess and maintain knowledge of current hairstyles and trends. They must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our participants. They must hold and maintain a current state license and insurance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be on time for your shift and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
- Provide consistent professional hair treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the participants
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law
- Handle participants questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold and maintain a current state cosmetology license and insurance
- Two years of experience as a Stylist

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be able to work with all hair types
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Enjoy working with elders and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Must be a team player
