Jobing Description
Operates switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.
Uses private branch exchange (AVAYA) switchboard to connect interoffice and house calls. Answers, screens, and routes outside calls. Performs clerical duties such as typing, proofreading, and sorting mail. Operates paging system to relay in-house announcements or call individuals to phone. Receives visitors, obtains name and nature of business, and schedules appointments. Other duties may be assigned. Skills / Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations (including all safety training and safety information) associated with this position which are written in English. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to appropriately respond to these and, where needed, provide reports, presentations, information or communications in English. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities: Familiar with MSOffice programs, computer literate, min. typing of 35wpm Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
