SUMMARY
Pick, stage, load, repackage, put away, or transport all orders according to company standards, while labeling and documenting information within establishment by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reads production labels, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, repacked, disposed or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas/pre-assigned dock doors. Sorts and places materials or items on carts, pallets, shelves, racks, or in bins or boxes according to predetermined sequence such as size, stop numbers, type and style as to prevent damage and expedite loading and put away procedures while working closely with others. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 3 months or more Warehouse related experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be able to use an electric and manual pallet jack, and warehouse truck (tugger). The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT he work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. Normal Hours of Work:
Scheduled nights vary, 4:30PM or 5:30PM starting time to finish. Shift lengths vary. Shifts of 12 hours are frequent on heavy volume days. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department.
