Each Team Member is also expected to be committed to the safety of fellow Team Members and our guests and demonstrate that commitment through daily actions. Position Summary To assist in providing all environmental and custodial services to include all corridors, stairwells, vending areas, public areas and back of house areas in and around the casino and complex. To ensure the highest degree of excellence in the standards of cleanliness, sanitation, comfort and safety in all of the above areas. Must set the example for delivering exceptional service to our employees and guests. Duties and Responsibilities Make certain that the team member has completed all assignments by the end of his/her shift. Inform the following shift what the previous shift has accomplished. 5% Schedule personnel according to forecasted occupancy. 2% Lead, train and develop team members. Act as supervisor in the absence of the EVS Supervisor. Responsible for Department operation issues. This duty may entail issuing coaching’s, performance evaluations, or providing recommendations on potential new hires. 5% Displays a solid understanding of all cleaning equipment and use of related cleaning chemicals. Walk the entire casino and building complex public areas inspecting, and demonstrating procedures. 10% Perform EVS Attendant duties as required. 65% Communicate effectively, written and verbally, with all guests, employees and managers within the casino and building complex. Inspect lobbies, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, food/beverage outlets and all back of house areas. Submit written inspections to appropriate management. 3% Follow through on all projects completed and/or scheduled. 2% Assist in training and scheduling employees. Review and update station assignments for employees. 3% Know cleaning supplies available and how to use them properly. Have working knowledge of equipment and be able to demonstrate its proper operation to others. Attend shift and departmental meetings. 5% Follow Company and departmental policies and procedures. Follow established key and chemical procedures. Follow and enforce safety and lost and found procedures and guidelines for energy conservation. Skills / Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Fully competent in Microsoft Office. Required Natural Behaviors Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with team member relations issues. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. Highly organized and detail-oriented Required Education and Work Experience Basic computer skills Able to read, write and communicate in English 2 years experience in housekeeping, janitorial or EVS 6 months lead experience Important Notes
