Job: Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager

Established in 1933, Taggart & Associates is one of Colorado's larger and most respected independent insurance agencies. Headquartered in Boulder, Taggart & Associates has a staff of 35. The agency is divided into three distinct areas: Commercial Insurance Services, Group Health Benefits and Home/Auto Insurance Services.

We are currently seeking an Commerical Lines Account Manager to join our outstanding team in Boulder!

Our ideal candidate will be a professional with a great work ethic and attitude who works well in a team environment. 3-5 years insurance experience. Candidate will assist producers with renewals as well as interface with clients on customer service issues. Must have ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and computer proficiency with MicroSoft programs. High level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients, carrier representatives and co-workers also important.


Primary Role:

Services a large book of clients in a manner that provides for retention, growth and profitability

Duties:

Receives and responds to all calls, faxes, emails and mail in a timely manner

Processes renewals including reviewing prior to renewal, marketing and ordering and preparing the renewals for delivery by the producer or for mailing

Markets renewals and new business, working in coordination with the producer on underwriting and rating with various companies. Prepares proposals and account summaries as needed for the producer

Assists the producers in rounding accounts

Handles change requests from insureds including requesting endorsements and verifying endorsements received

Meets with clients, in office or their location, as needed

Takes full accountability for the assigned book of business

- Must be licensed in the State of Colorado and complete the required continuing education hours to keep license valid
- Must be knowledgeable in all lines of P & C and able to handle day-to-day calls from clients
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently on a large assigned book of business
- Emphasis on Workers’ Compensation is helpful
