Job Summary: Collect on accounts to minimize losses while providing exceptional service, education, and viable payment solutions. Primary Responsibilities: • Operate automated dialer system that generates customer calls to collect on past due accounts in order to minimize losses. • Take calls on collection accounts. Set up arrangements and offer payment options to enhance and preserve customer relationships. • Process pay-by-phone arrangements for delinquent accounts and answer questions. • Note payment arrangements and update account maintenance screens on PC. • Review and research past due accounts to find current addresses and telephone numbers which may require minimal skip tracing. • Read e-mails for updates to department procedures and policies. Minimum Qualifications:
• High school, GED or vocational school diploma is required. • Working knowledge of Microsoft in a Windows environment with a beginning level of proficiency in word processing (Word) software applications is required. • Ability to work in phone intensive and automated environment. • Ability to sit for extended periods of time. • Ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written. • Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to listen to customers and focus on working out a payment arrangement that is mutually beneficial.
