Position Summary:
Executes numerous aspects of the property‚s daily and monthly financial reporting activity, annual budgeting process, and other projects as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Transforms data generated by accounting and various operational systems into actionable information that will help inform decisions that change the way the property operates, generating positive financial improvements.
-Reviews and consolidates information to prepare standard daily, weekly, and monthly analysis and operating reports.
-Creates and maintains the property‚s annual operating budget. Interacts with all departments and with corporate finance, and the manipulation of complex financial models.
-Provides support labor management analysis, supporting the property labor analyst in the forecasting and reporting aspects of that role.
-Assists the Finance Manager with management and training of property departments in the correct and timely use of the Checkbook, P&L Statement, Kronos, and UniFocus systems for managing financial results
-Works closely with all departmental directors and managers and identifies areas of improvement for any department
-Supports and contributes expertise to projects relating to property business, guest service, and financial goals.
-Offers well reasoned and factual information whether in support of or to challenge existing practices;
-Adheres to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

Skills / Requirements

-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Must be able to provide a high level of customer service.
-Must have excellent organizational skills
-Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
-Knowledge of Showcase, Timeline, Brio, and MS Access is preferred
-Must be able to maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity.
-Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
-Bachelor‚s degree required, preferably in Finance or Business, with 1 - 3 years of applicable analytical experience preferred.
-Casino experience preferred.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming license at all times.
