Jobing Description

Community Reach Center is seeking a full time Database Administrator/Developer based in our corporate business office. Under general supervision, responsible for installation, maintenance and backup of SQL server database software and supporting products. Creates and manages multiple databases, tablespaces and indexes. Performs database administration tasks including the daily monitoring, tuning, diagnoses and resolution of problems with the databases. Maintains a backup and recovery strategy for all databases. Assists in establishing database standards and procedures. Responsible for analyzing database related business requirements, including reporting, and designing the respective database table structures and supporting procedures, in cooperation with the remainder of the software development team. Full and responsible member of the team developing a large scale healthcare enterprise application in support of clinical, financial, administrative and executive requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Microsoft certifications (MCDBA, MCITP, MCP, etc.)

Experience as member or an enterprise software development team

Experience with system architecture and design

Experience with Red Gate Tools

Experience with Clusters

Knowledge of SANs

Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

Knowledge of SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)

Skills / Requirements

Requires a minimum of a BA/BS or database management certification

Minimum of three years experience in database development and administration

Deep understanding of hardware, firmware, operating system software, tools and application software interoperability

Demonstrated skills in utilizing Microsoft software and database development tools

Full understanding of database normalization concepts

Knowledge of state of the art in database design and database technology

Excellent problem solving capabilities

Ability to estimate efforts with reasonable accuracy

Ability to prioritize

Communicates well

Takes directions

Ability to work independently
