Our Program Philosophy

Learning Services seeks to provide a supportive and nurturing place to engage in therapeutic and productive activities, develop meaningful relationships and enjoy varied opportunities to improve lives for persons with acquired brain injury.  The programs embody the ethics of practice adopted by Learning Services Corporation, and are based on the following philosophical assumptions:

• People with brain injury are intrinsically valuable and respected individuals, capable of contributing to the communities in which they live.
• All individuals are capable of growth and development.
• All individuals are unique and improve at their own pace.
• Individuals with brain injury should be provided with the least
• Restrictive environment.
• All individuals are entitled to the right to take reasonable risks that may result in enhanced opportunities.
• All individuals are empowered with the right of choice and self-determination. 

Learning Services Programs encourage and facilitate those persons served to be involved members of the community at large.  It must be realized that there are inherent challenges involved for all persons who live in the community.  Our programs provide persons with brain injury varied opportunities to increase their independence.  Our staff provides therapeutic interactions, direction and information to support each resident’s pursuit of their goals.
