At Arapahoe/Douglas Works! maximizing potential is our business. The economy and industry are drivers of our success with this vision. The strategic connection of talent to available work in the Metro-area is our passion. ADW! is charged with enhancing the economic vitality of its region by locating and developing workforce talent to meet increasingly acute shortages of skilled workers. It fulfills this task through funding provided by a variety of federal sources and other grants.
Several business partners in the region regularly come to use regarding their human capitol needs, and we find it and/or create it and then supply it. With a strong and successful collaborative with several education partnerships we can design training programs to expedite the availability of the talent that business needs or is predicted to need in the future. We strive to stay relevant to the labor market and be a resource for companies, large and small, as they meet their workforce needs to become and stay competitive. ADW! delivers its services through two full-service and two satellite locations. These workforce centers provide employers with customized services such as hiring events, job fairs, rooms for conducting interviews, candidate location and screening, and information on local wage levels and employment law. ADW! provides job seekers with three levels of service: core, intensive and training. Core services include access to computers and office equipment for job search, information about services offered through ADW!, help with basic job search skills, job referral, and access to all hiring events and job fairs. Intensive services include customized help with career planning, including assessment and information about local job opportunities and trends in the labor market. Training services consist of helping the job seeker locate and pay for training opportunities that are congruent with both their assessment results and local employer talent needs. I encourage you to provide feedback and insight on how ADW! might better serve your workforce needs. Let us know. And remember we are here to maximize your business potential.
