Blog Post: Call for Apex Award Nominations is Open

CSIA's APEX Awards is your opportunity to nominate yourself, your company, your clients and your colleagues to showcase and showoff the innovation and talent that Colorado has to offer.

The CSIA APEX Awards recognizes the best and brightest people, companies and accomplishments throughout Colorado’s technology community.  All technology people and companies in Colorado are eligible to be nominated, and there is no cost to nominate.  CSIA encourages you to self-nominate, or nominate other companies, colleagues or clients.

The 2007 CSIA Apex Awards will feature eight categories.  They are:

• Rookie of the Year
• Colorado’s Top Tech Educator (New for 2007)
• Most Innovative Technology Product
• Distinguished Services Award • Outstanding Tech Company of the Year
• Chief Tech Exec of the Year
• Colorado’s Tech Champion Award
• Fast Forward Award (New for 2007)

This event attracts hundreds of key decision-makers, including the CEOs themselves, as all nominated companies are asked to be represented at the event, and no winners are announced in advance.  In 2006, for example, we hosted nearly 100 CEOs/presidents of technology companies among the more than 500 attendees.   Past notable award recipients include Webroot, Interlink Group/EMC, Integro, Statera, ViaWest, Confio, eCollege, Xcel’s Energy Utility Innovations Team, IHS, Donna Auguste (Freshwater Software), Scott Burt (Integro), Bob Newman (Founder, CSIA), Spiremedia, and Istonish.

2007 continues the tradition and networking of the Apex Awards in a new venue.  The Seawell Ballroom, on the Denver Center of the Performing Arts campus, is the perfect backdrop for an event focused on celebration and networking.  This is not a theatre style awards show but rather a full networking event (like C-Level @ A Mile High) directly incorporated into the awards show.  Mingle with your peers but be ready as the awards are announced throughout the night.

Nominations are completed through an electronic nomination system designed by member company  Digital Assets, Inc.  which makes the nomination process simple and effecient.

            8 - 9:00 p.m.    Coffee and continued networking  Don't be shy.  Enter your company or individual in as many categories as you deem appropriate -- each category has different judges and is looked at on an individual basis.
