Blog Post: Job Fairs and Evaluations
posted Thursday, October 23, 2008 10:22 AM
In my last post on job fairs, I indicated that you, my readers, were welcome to call me and we would set up some time to evaluate your resume and career path.
That is still accurate. However, we have received many calls. I, or my equally qualified business partner and wife Nicole, will return every call and talk to everyone who has called. However, it may take a couple of weeks to get you in for an appointment, as we are also very busy now with our clients. Also, please be aware that we have very little advice for those outside the white-collar business world. We don't know the blue-collar labor market at all. We had an individual call who builds swimming pools. I really didn't have any advice for him. We do, however, have a list of free community resources that DO know these markets on our website, www.heckersdevgroup.com in the "Resources" section. We are best able to help executives, professionals, technical people, financial people, healthcare folks, etc. and are happy to meet with you and give you our advice. I should have made this more clear in our previous job fair post. So...I'm very sorry for delays in getting you in and getting back to you, but we don't have a "staff" of salespeople or admins to call...we contact you ourselves. But we really want to speak with you and will get to you as soon as we are able. Best of luck at the job fair today, and I look forward to meeting with many of you in the near future!
