Position Summary:
Provides technical assistance, support, and advice to users around the clock. Analyzes problems, recommends and implements solutions. Provides technical support for hardware, software, and systems. Answers telephone calls and resolves difficulties. Installs, modifies, cleans, and repairs computer hardware and software. Oversees the daily performance of the company-s computer systems and evaluate software programs for usefulness. Performs all system procedures and maintenance to facilitate continued and efficient use of system resources.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Responsible for providing excellent software and hardware support.
-Diagnoses and resolved problems. Uses documented procedures and checklists in the performance of most responsibilities.
-Enters call data and work orders into a tracking system.
-Escalates problems to a higher level technical support professional when necessary.
-Assists in the resolution of application, hardware and software problems.
-Consults with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
-Documents procedures required to support applications.
-Configures, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots desktop systems and communications components.
-Coordinates resolution of problems with vendors or subject matter experts when additional expertise is required.
-Maintains an inventory and accountability for all IT components (e.g.pc-s, laptops, software, printers, modems, etc.).
-Maintains system access (adds, changes, deletes) for all team members.
-Insures backups are complete, error-free and that tape rotation complies with policy.
-Responsible for escalating problems, suggestions, repeat issues, etc., in order to improve the overall operations of the IT department.
- Maintain and improve expertise in software applications (including enhancements and new products) and direct their use based on business requirements.
- Lead and/or assist with technology projects. Requires initiative to identify areas of opportunity, ability to analyze and assess possible solutions, to support the selection and implementation of projects, and to methodically complete task or project.
-Assists other IT team members when workload warrants. *
-Assists in pulling and terminating cable.
-Adheres to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

Skills / Requirements

Job Requirements:
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree preferred.
-Must be able to be mobile throughout the property.
-Must be able to work from a variety of different stances.
-Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
-Minimum of (1) year information technology experience required.
-Excellent computer knowledge and experience required.
-Must be customer service oriented.
-Must have flexibility with scheduling and be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to work in a fast pace and high stress environment.
-Must be able to stay poised under stress and time constraints.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License.
-Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
-Must be able to troubleshooting pc/network issues
-Must have Strong customer service skills
Must be able to observe and identify other areas within the IT department that require assistance on projects, and must have the desire and ability to proactively assist other team members.
-Must be able to meet dress requirements.
-Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Ameristar.
