Colorado Christian University (CCU) is looking for an Associate Professor/Professor in Nursing who has the drive and motivation to provide exceptional service to the CCU community.

The Associate Professor/Professor of Nursing is responsible for instructional and administrative responsibilities within the Nursing and Sciences Division such as, academic excellence in all areas of teaching and learning in nursing education including theory, laboratory, simulation and clinical instruction. The faculty actively participate in program development and evaluation; curriculum development, evaluation and revision; student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies; course planning, implementation, and evaluation, supervision of clinical instruction; and evaluation of student achievement including formative and summative evaluation. The faculty member coordinates and collaborates with colleagues and students in a wide range of supervised, self-directed, and technologically mediated learning activities including the ongoing monitoring and improvement of the teaching-learning process. The faculty member effectively participates in the affairs of the program and the division, and provides professional leadership in the University, nursing profession, and community.

Skills / Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a doctorate in Nursing or in a related field; MSN is required. Additionally the successful candidate will demonstrated knowledge and skills related to the teaching of nursing, teaching of adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development, and curriculum evaluation. Must have experience in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in eCollege preferred. Specialty preparation and experience in Maternal/Child, Community Health or Medical-Surgical nursing is required.
