Position Summary:
The Assistant Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of quality guest service, the professionalism of dealers, and the security and accounting of games. This position oversees the accuracy and timeliness of player tracking, bankroll maintenance, as well as addressing guest service and gaming issues. The Assistant Floor Supervisor is responsible for supervising the table games department as well as dealing table games. Shifts will be varied throughout the work week.

Essential Functions:

When on shift as a floor supervisor:
-Provides our guest with excellent guest service, creating memorable experiences while promoting loyalty to the Ameristar brand.
-Ensures quality guest service standards are met and dealers behave in a professional and courteous fashion.
-Ensures the accounting of games are accurate and games are secure at all times.
-Ensures utilization reports are accurately completed in a timely fashion.
-Ensures compliance of company and departmental policies and procedures, Colorado Gaming Regulations and internal controls.
-Ensures proper inventory of cheques on table games to enable payouts to be made quickly and accurately.
-Communicates all shift information to the incoming Floor Supervisor.
-Maintains table games equipment.
-Makes sure player tracking is conducted in an accurate and timely fashion.
-Ensures the integrity of games.
-Communicates and coaches team.
-Communicates to Floor Supervisors, Operations Managers and Directors all guest or team member issues and reports all monetary exceptions.
-Addresses any gaming related issues and makes gaming decisions on behalf of the company with respect to house policies, state and federal regulations while utilizing good judgment.

When on shift as a table games dealer
-Maintains the integrity of a supervisor while acting as a dealer.
-Conducts recognition coachings for team members.
-Provides our guest with excellent guest service, creating memorable experiences while promoting loyalty to the Ameristar brand.
-Creates an atmosphere of hospitality and friendliness toward guests.
-Makes eye contact and greets guests by first name, if known, upon arriving to the table and thanks the guest for playing when they leave the table.
-Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and house policies and procedures.
-Monitors guest activity while at tables and maintains open communication with supervisors regarding the happenings at their games.
-Deals an accurate game while maintaining game security and integrity at all times.
-Ensures appropriate game pace for players and the casino.
-Ensures payouts are made accurately and quickly.
-Fills and credits tables by verification of cheques.
-Opens and closes tables by verification of all cheque inventory.
-Insures games are dealt in a manner consistent with State Gaming Commission regulations and the policies and procedures of Ameristar Casino, Inc.
-Maintains player tracking, bankroll maintenance, and guest service.
-Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Ameristar and encourages others to do the same.

Skills / Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License at all times.
-Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays.
-Knowledge of table games operations including dealing procedures strongly preferred.
-Dealing experience is required.
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Must be able to fill either position on any given work day.
-Excellent team member and customer relations skills are required.
-Must be able to stand, walk, bend and reach for the duration of a shift.
-Knowledge of Blackjack, Roulette and Craps is strongly preferred.
Must be able to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
-Must be able to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
-Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
-Must be able to tolerate a variety of different levels of noise, illumination, temperature and crowdedness on the casino floor.
-Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and maintain compliance with the company uniform policy.
-Must have strong mathematical skills.
