Internal Controls / Compliance Analyst Job/Research Summary Perform responsibilities as an internal controls and tax compliance analyst in the Accounting Group. This position analyzes NREL and Alliance internal control risks and compliance exposures and provides mitigation recommendations to the Accounting Group Manager and CFO. When a course of action is approved, this position acts as a project leader guiding the responsible process owners in the implementation of the risk mitigation plan. The individual will be responsible for promoting and exhibiting ethical and professional behavior in a diverse work environment. Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE contractual requirements, and NREL and Alliance policies and procedures. Required Education and Experience
Relevant Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Additional Basic Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and Sarbanes-Oxley concepts. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with a variety of customers and management levels. Must be detail oriented. Meeting critical deadlines is a must. Extensive knowledge of personal computers, integrated business systems, flowcharts and spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications Pre-employment drug testing required. Important Notes
