Total Longterm Care is a non-profit PACE program that provides managed health care and supportive services designed to assist seniors who want an alternative to nursing home placement. With Total Longterm Care's assistance, participants can stay in their own homes and communities. The mission of Total Longterm Care is to enable frail individuals to live with dignity in their communities.
We are currently seeking a Development Director to join our outstanding team! POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Director oversees specific fund development activities under the direction of the Executive Director of the TCO Foundation in order to reach the foundation’s fund development goals. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing program-specific fund development plans; working closely with the board of directors, staff and volunteers to implement fundraising activities; coordinating communication and promotion efforts relative to all fund development activities; and working collaboratively with staff throughout the TCO family of companies. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Physical Requirements - Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics. 2. Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to document care provided in participants’ service records. Must be able to communicate verbally with participants, team members and participants caregivers. 3. Pressure Factor - Requires working under stressful conditions. Working conditions may be noisy and crowded and fluctuating indoor temperatures. Moderate pressure to meet scheduled appointments while dealing with frail and confused participants. Subject to participants that may have the potential for verbal or physical aggression. 4. Environmental Conditions - May be exposed to a risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids, communicable diseases and any other conditions common in a clinic environment. Subject to unpleasant odors. Driving in severe weather conditions including rain, hail and snow will be necessary. Skills / Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AND DRUG SCREEN. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or related field required. Masters of Nonprofit Management degree a plus. At least five years of hands on fundraising experience including annual giving, grant-writing, special events and donor cultivation/recognition required. Successful experience working with volunteers, including a volunteer board of directors, on a variety of projects is necessary. Experience managing program budgets and reaching financial goals is essential. Experience working with aging, mental health or disability issues desired. Excellent written and oral communications skills necessary. Ability to present to large groups required. Ability to coordinate many projects concurrently necessary. Important Notes
